Mike has over 25 years of experience helping companies plan for and manage growth. With a foundation in information technology and success with disciplined process methodologies, project management and client services in the consulting industry, Mike leveraged his collaboration skills and natural ability to connect with people and teams to develop relationships of trust and mutual respect into an impressive career in sales management, general management / operations and corporate development, primarily in B2B markets, at both private and publicly traded companies.

Mike’s work history includes Brown Shoe Company (now Caleres), Grant Thornton, Meridian Enterprises, Promotion Fulfillment Center, Staples’ Promotional Products Division, and numerous contract consulting engagements, most recently strategic planning and execution in the social services industry supporting adults with disabilities. Mike’s diverse professional background is supported by an undergraduate degree in computer science from Southeast Missouri State University and an MBA in management and marketing from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. Mike has previous board experience and currently serves on the board of Assured Trust Company, an independent trust company focused on trust administration for seniors and special needs families.

Mike understands the unique challenges and dynamics of privately owned, closely held and family owned businesses, as well as the expectations and demands that publicly traded Fortune 500 parent companies have of their mid-market size business units. As part of his background and history of leadership in planning and executing sales and profit growth, Mike has experience in private equity ownership transitions and the pre and post transaction activities related to M&A synergy execution and realization.
