Doug is a senior executive with over 30 years of COO/CFO and senior leadership experience with privately owned companies. He possesses significant experience in managing a wide range of business functions, including HR, IT, Finance and Accounting, Legal / Contracts, Professional Services, Project / Program Management and Global Sales Operations. Doug has conducted numerous engagements for organizations in the public and private sectors including local, state and federal government agencies. Doug is a hands-on senior leader who has been very successful in helping companies create profitable growth through sales-oriented operations management, implementing operational efficiencies and building strong company cultures that can effectively attract and retain top talent.
Doug began his career implementing information systems for warehouse management as well as retail and commercial lending applications. Having developed a strong foundation in information technology, Doug transitioned to a career in consulting. As a consultant, manager and Principal, Doug had the opportunity to consult with a wide range of companies and organizations in the public and private sectors. He performed technology implementations, financial feasibility studies, operations reviews and economic development projects.
In addition to over 15 years of consulting work, Doug’s work history includes McDonnell Aircraft (now Boeing), Mercantile Trust Company (now US Bank), Grant Thornton LLC, Information Builders, Inc. and Ungerboeck Software International. Doug earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration / MIS from the University of Missouri St. Louis. Doug also served for four years as a Board Member for the International Association of Venue Managers.
Doug has been highly successful in providing senior leadership and direction while working for family owned and closely held companies. Doug’s hands-on approach, detail orientation and strong analytical skills have allowed him to become a trusted advisor to company ownership groups and outside board members.
